Federation of Kerala Hotels Association is the umbrella Organization of Star Classified/Facility Hotels, Classified and Approved Restaurants, Resorts and Heritage Hotels having liquor Permits Operating in the State of Kerala. ‘Wine and Dine’ was considered to be an integral part of tourism Policy of any government from time immemorial. Hence to promote tourism adhering to the National Slogan “Incredible India” and “Atithi Devo Bhava”, the govt. of Kerala took effective steps to grant liquor permits to tourist hotels for the last several decades, which necessitated in the formation of an Association of Hotels under the label “Kerala Bar Hotels Association” which has now been renamed as “Federation of Kerala Hotels Association” [FKHA]. Kerala being a tourist destination known by “Gods Own Country” among the world famous tourist centres, hospitality has now emerged as a rapidly growing business segment. Having considered the need to unify various operators in the hospitality sector under a single roof, FKHA has opened its membership to various category of hotels rated above.
